October ushers in Autumn

For the last two mornings, I have had the pleasure of watching my oldest daughter play soccer at Rotary Park in Mequon. It really is enjoyable to watch your kids doing something they enjoy. The only problem is that I am not acclimated to the cold weather yet. The humorous part about Rotary Park is that it always feels about 10-20 degrees colder than anywhere else in the area. The main reason for this is that Rotary Park sits up higher than the surrounding area and the wind is always blowing.

One month from now, today will feel warm. Our high was 57 degrees, but with the wind and clouds it felt much cooler. If the chill of the last few days has started to affect you, try to remember how great September was.

Sunshine returns on Monday with more rain on Tuesday. Get ready for our first freeze next weekend as it looks like a very cold air mass is set to arrive.

Stay warm.
