Decent Week Ahead

Sunday has certainly turned out to be the pick day of the weekend. We could not shake the clouds on Saturday, but the sunshine returned in a big way today. Temps are still cooler than normal, but there were not too many people complaining with the gorgeous sunshine.

Our weather this week looks pretty quiet. Temperatures will continue a gradual warm-up. Our average high is 76 degrees today.  Monday and Tuesday look dry. Plenty of sun on Monday. More clouds arriving on Tuesday ahead of our next system.  The best chance of rain this week will come on Wednesday. Here is the GFS model for midday.

I would have the umbrella handy for much of the day on Wednesday.

The GFS model also keeps showers going into Thursday. The models diverge quite a bit for the upcoming weekend. The GFS keeps us dry, but the Euro brings in the next shortwave on Saturday. Here are those two solutions for Saturday:

Clearly, there are substantial differences between the two. I will throw in a chance of storms, but most of next weekend should be pretty nice with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s.

Enjoy your week.

    Hi Mark,

Forecast looks pretty good! Gonna try and use it to see what I can do about getting all that nice green grass of mine back down to a respectable height. By the way, in case your interested; my rice paddy is doing really good! (even with the cooler temps).

    • Tony,

It feels like it’s growing about an inch an hour.

      Enjoy the sunshine.

      • Thanks! Hope you get to enjoy as much of it as you’re able to also!

  2. Catching up on the blogs after a week off on vacation. Interesting bit about the heat burst. We had one in KC about two months ago that completely caught me off guard. Fortunately, it was only about 15 degrees in 2 minutes…but starting in the low 60s. Still, this is an easy yet somewhat unusual way to blow out a forecast high temp for the day. LOL.
